Tudor Hotels is currently undertaking the restoration and refurbishment of this wonderful historic building. First built as a watchtower to fend off foreign invaders, the Redcliffe was extended and transformed into a lavish home by a retired army Colonel Robert Smith in 1865. In 1903 the building was converted to a Hotel and has operated as such ever since.
